We have all been there; the yo-yo diet plan, the on/off again addictive vice, the doubt and spark of passion, and the highs and lows of the emotional spectrum- basically, the roller-coaster ride of life. Whatever the situation, we are either on top of our game or we are not. It seems inevitable; what goes up must come down- right? Yes, it must.But here is your big BUT– the severity of the swing can be greatly effected by the correction of the attitude, the creation of an action plan, and the finding of the right motivating factor.
What’s your carrot? First, when we are on top (by the way, I speak of this first because I think it’s only right to acknowledge our good situation) so again, when we are on top of our game, loving life, let’s check-in with our attitude which should be filled with gratitude. Appreciate the goodness in your life; acknowledge your hard work and the people around you that have helped in creating this good situation. Thank your renewing source, whatever that may be- God, Universe, Nature.Second, shall we never rest on our laurels; may we never get complacent and may we always strive to have an action plan that improves upon the goodness we have and keeps us moving forward into true abundance.
Next, create an action plan that addresses this; brainstorm, I’m sure you can always find answers to make your life situation even better.Third, even when life is happy, there is such a thing as happier, and even then, at our happiest, we still have room to grow. Ways of growing during the good times can be explored by asking ourselves, how can we show gratitude and love in this moment, and how can we share our goodness and good fortune with others. It can be said that the carrot, when all is perfect is to bring the joy we have to others. Of course, you can also create a more self-oriented carrot, like a fancier car or bigger house, and that is OK. Abundance of every sort is the basis of a good life and everyone should partake.
When life is low, when you are barely making things work, how can we make the upswing come faster? Attitude. Action Plan. Tasty Carrot. Since we know that there will be ups and downs with whatever situation we are attempting whether it is to improve our health, fitness, business, relationship, and self-growth, we must prepare for that low dip in our ride. Therefore, once we recognize that we are in the quagmire, we must first check our attitude. Is our attitude helping our situation? Or is it making it worse? At any moment in time, you can change your mood and perspective for the better by just deciding and doing. Find the gratefulness; find the solution.
We need to create an action plan. How can we make things better? How can we stick to our healthy meal plan and fitness regiment? How can we have more satisfying jobs, etc? Make a list of remedies , pick one, and do it. Here’s something- you are in charge and in control of your attitude and the action you take to improve ANY situation. Lastly, what’s your carrot? Don’t forget the big picture, remind yourself why you are on this ride. And, if that carrot isn’t motivating enough– find a different carrot! Make it tasty; then go after it with vigor. (I love the word vigor!!!!!!)
What to take away from this blog post– whatever your situation, good or bad, check your attitude, create your action plan, and then find the right motivator and do it. And , if it’s still not working, rework the system— really, really check the attitude, get creative and change the action plan, finally, dig deep for the ultimate motivator that you would never say “no” to.
